Patterns originate from Asian tradition and clothes are often printed by hand-made wood stamps (so called block print). Decorations used are needlework, tie-dye and quilting. Massive furniture is imported from India, Nepal and Tibet and is hand-made from hard tropic wood, mainly rosewood and teak. It is characterized by quality of used materials, exceptional craft skills, and it is decorated by metal elements, woodcut or intarsia. Each piece is an original thanks to the fact it is hand-made. Colonial style evokes exotic feel and creates an atmosphere of uniqueness. Interior accessories give final touch to your interior and make you feel cosy.

Antique furniture more than 100 years old

We offer also antique restored furniture from the times of British Imperium that hold unrepeatable atmosphere and are designed mainly as solitaire into your interior.

Hand-made quality

Massive furniture is made from hard tropic wood, rosewood, teak, acacia and mango that is exceptionally hard, durable and has decorative colour and design. Furniture is hand-made with master craft skills and it is decorated by metal elements, woodcut or intarsia.
Interior accessories like plaids, tapestries or curtains are hand embroidered, decorated by mirrors and prove unbelievable craft skills of Indian producers. Clothing patterns are printed by hand-made wood stamps (so called block print). Clothes are dyed by natural substances of plant and mineral origin (so called vegetable dying) that is environment friendly.

Assortment consists of tables and chairs, cabinets, bookcases, chests, trunks, and beds, both new ones and antique ones.
Interior accessories consist of traditional Indian plaids, tapestries and curtains, cushion covers, seat covers, shades from hand-made paper, glass mosaic, acrylic crystal, granite life-size statues of Gods, and smaller decorations – statuettes, ceramic candlestick and vases.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Massive furniture is made from hard tropic wood, rosewood, teak, acacia and mango that is exceptionally hard, durable and has decorative colour and design. Rosewood is a hard dark red-brown timber with violet shades and dark veining suitable for furniture and musical instruments. Teak is yellowish brown timber with good grains and texture and exceptional weather resistance even when not treated with oil or varnish suitable for outdoor furniture and deck boat. Acacia and mango are also hard tropic timbers used for furniture production.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURNITURE
Surface of the furniture is protected by a thin layer or natural wax therefore is not designed for exterior use!
For regular care use wet rag followed by an absorbent rag to dry up. To wipe out a dust please use a duster.
We recommend to restore the protective layer every six month, at least at the most used parts of the furniture, e.g. table board.
First clean the surface to get rid of dust and impurities then apply a thin layer of wax equally on the surface. Wax should be rubbed in thoroughly, let dry for 15 to 20 minutes and rubbed with an absorbent rag till desired shine is obtained.
Warning: water, high humidity, direct sunlight, and high temperature can seriously damage the furniture. Do not use chemicals to care for the furniture. We strongly recommend the use of mats under glass or cups.
To remove stains caused by spilled drink or hot cup use soft wire wool. With linear movements follow the summers on the stump and remove the stain. After that clean the surface from dust and apply a layer of natural wax, let it dry for 10 minutes and rub up with an absorbent rag.

Indian and Nepali Incenses are considered to be a world class. Their production is based on traditional formulas proven by centuries. Indian incenses are scented by aromatic oils and have profound fragrances that are designed to create a pleasant atmosphere. Nepali and Tibet incenses are made from Himalayan herbs and sandalwood. They are not scented and thanks to their typically natural fragrance they are used for meditations, relaxations and various rituals.

Khukuri knives are known thanks to Nepali Ghurk fighters that served more than 200 years to British Imperial Army. Today these knives are used in everyday life of Nepali rather than for fight and there are numerous kinds and sizes. We import only original pieces made in Nepal, not second quality fakes from India or Pakistan.

Smokers can find in our shops water glass pipes of various shapes and sizes, wooden and metal pipes, clay chillums, and other accessories for smokers like sifters, paper filters, wooden cigarette cases, boxes for chillums, and numerous tiny boxes as accessories to pipes.

Notebooks, papers for letter, envelopes and decorated papers are made hand-made according to old Nepali traditions. So called “rice paper” is made from bark of Daphne Cannabina a Daphne Papy¬racea that are planted at altitudes of 2500 m of Himalaya slopes. The paper is firm and resistant to moulds, and scratched paper can be ironed again.

For those interested in Oriental religions like Buddhism a wide selection of traditional musical, ritual and meditation instruments, statuettes and masks is offered. Tibetan bowl is a traditional musical instrument used also to harmonize chakras. We offer also prayer mills with rolls of mantras, dorje, bells, phurbs. We offer real traditional Tibetan ovens in several sizes, the biggest of them is 3 metres high. Nepali statuettes made from bronze or copper are true masterpieces. Some of the statues are decorated by gold and natural pigments. You find Buddha, Garuda, Kálí, Shiva, Ganéša and many others.
